Nice, the jeans were tricky to get! Clever premise :)
Yo, thank you!!
A cool person called redsti is responsible for this one :p I'll let 'em know!
Not what I expected, haha, but very interesting and got me engaged.
I crossed the finish line not really knowing what I was doing so got reamed at the contest ha. I'll give it another play through later, as I'm curious to see what all I missed.
One idea I had for feedback was that some of the text might have looked better or been more readable if it had a background. One specifically, the dollar counter - it is bright gold and like in the middle of the screen so is a bit distracting and doesn't blend well all the time. Since there is that, the timer, the instructions, and some other things, maybe having a UI Bar would be a good idea.
Great work though!
Aye, I did not consider the UI being distracting. Doing something about that sounds like a good idea..!
And yeahhh, I gotta figure out what to do about the finish line issue haha
Thank you so much for trying this out Lou! I'm honoured :p
For the finish line you could just have a popup or something that is like "Are you sure you want to finish?" or like "Start the Beauty Pagent" vs "I want to go find more clothes first"
I felt nervous about this idea, because I knew I wanted this game to be mouse-less, and generally UI button-less.
But maybe there's some good UI button approach to this..!
Pipe Mechanics: Figuring out that you need to press down to enter sideway pipes was a bit unintuitive. Using right or left to align with the pipe's direction would feel more natural.
Platforming Difficulty: The platforming is great! Not too challenging, but still engaging enough to feel rewarding.
End Goal: I struggled to locate the last piece of clothing or the final objective. A bit more guidance or a hint system would help here.
Art Style: The visuals are good!
Thanks for submitting your game!
Hey, Kelpo! Thank you so much for playing the game this quickly! :o
I agree, the pipe arrow issue is... destructive 🤣
Extra credit for the platforming goes to redsti who helped design a good portion of it!!
The end goal is even worse than the pipes. No indicators of nearly anything goal-related, other than "get clothes" haha
I will surely have more guidance! Like hinting which areas still have more cloths in, possibly!
And thanks for the art compliment :p I did try my best! Will polish it even further ofc
Thank you thank you thank you!
